Raise Brave Kids
This morning I watched as my normally cautious 3-year-old son calmly squished an invading spider with his bare hands. My squeamish female reaction was to squeal and exclaim "ugh gross!!!" I refrained from saying it though, because I didn't want to plant ideas that he should feel that way. The whole situation wasn't a big deal, but I felt like it was a tiny example of helping our kids be strong and resilient people, ultimately in much higher matters.
